Hi,

Does anyone use Polycose or Duocal? Do you use it in every bottle?

I'm looking for anyone's experience with it...just started using it

in Dalia's bottles on the advice of a Nutritionist at the GIs

office...she wants a tablespoon in each bottle (Polycose in the day

and Duocal at bedtime and in the night).

Hi Sheryl:-)

yes, I have used both. First we tried Docal and it turned out that it was

not tolerated as well as polycose. Yes when on either one we mixed it in

with the rest of the formula for every feed.

Sheryl -

We put 1/2 tsp of polycose per ounce of formula in nighttime bottle. This has

been an o.k amount for her. Our ped. 1st suggested every bottle to increase

calories but had diarrhea from this so I cut it down to just nighttime

feedings. Hope this helps. Jane, mom to " probable RSS "

Hi Sheryl,

We never used Duocal, but we used to use Polycose when was younger,

and on a bottle. It was 7 scoops of Similac with Iron, 1 scoop of the

Polycose, and enough water to make 8oz of total formula. This created a

30kcal/oz formula, which we fed all the time.
