Guest guest
I gotta ask.. is this increase in eating habits temporary or is this the way he's gonna be from now on? I went from having a kid who, 3 weeks ago, hardly ate anything that wasn't brown, crunchy, and room temperature to one that WON'T STOP EATING! The last week and a half or 2 weeks he's been non stop eating it seems.. For example..He would never have touched an egg before (made him gag) and he had 2 scrambled for breakfast yesterday... Today for lunch he had: 2 1/2 Hebrew National Red. Fat hot dogs--no buns, just the franks 1/2 cup mashed potatoes handful baked french fries 1/4 steamed carrot half a banana 4 oz rice milk 1 GFCF ginger cookie Then about 2 hrs later he had 4 pieces (about 3 " x1 " ) of homemade 'granola' bar that I made for him and another 4 oz rice milk. Then an hour later he had 2 slices of CF soymage mozarella cheese slices (which, he must have TOTALLY forgotten what real cheese tastes like to eat this stuff.. BLECH) and another granola bar. Then he laid down on the beanbag and fell asleep.. This is a 35 " tall, 25-ish lb 25.5 mo old.. he's not that big to hold that much IMO! LOL! I don't offer this much at a sitting.. I offered, originally, 1 hot dog and some fries. He ate that, then came to me signing " more " and leading me by the hand to the fridge. I'd open the door and he'd pull out whatever it was he wanted. FINALLY, he'd had enough and stopped. I hope this is just a temporary growth spurt and not the norm for the future! LOL! I wanted him to get out of his crunchy brown rut, but this is nuts! He's gonna eat me out of house and home.. Married to Dan Mom to: Dana (3/4/98) 36 week preemie, now a spirited 3 y/o ~~~~~and~~~~~~ (3/26/99) 33 week preemie, now a 2 y.o. growing boy!
