5 houses down the street that has/had my favorite tree in the front

yard. It was huge and had 8 trunks coming out of the main trunk,

well at about 2 pm Friday (before Charley actually hit) it was struk

with lighting and split in half, causing the power to go out for our

block and around the corner. The last 2 are of trees on the next

block. I will try and get more today.

Wow...you guys had a lot of damage too! Glad you and yours are OK.

We got power back on Saturday around 5pm, cable around 4pm yesterday

and house phone service at 9am this morning. Cell phones (AT & T

Wireless/Cingular) are still down.

We never lost water either. My in-laws, who live on the west side of

Young Pkwy (we live just east of JYP) NEVER lost ANY service.

I'm not sure if the gas stations here have gas or not. I saw lines

on Sat. but no lines on Sun, so I'm assuming they sold out. I

haven't paid a LOT of attention because I filled up on Thursday and

don't plan on doing a lot of driving in the near future (and Joe and

I go away Wed through Sat this week, so we're hoping things are a

little more normal by the time we get back).
