NEWBIEQ Asthma, prednisone, Graves

Hi, all,

Last Thursday my gyno examined me and announced I had two lumps on

my breast and probably Graves.

He was wrong about the lumps, I could see he was wrong, and the

mamogram, ultrasound, and subsequent biopsy proved him wrong and

perhaps a little eager to rush me to the radiology lab owned by him and his

buddies.

Well, hell, he's probably right about Graves, although my appt with the endo

isn't for a while.

My question --- and at last I get to it ---- is has anyone heard that

prednisone contributes to Graves or thyroid problems? I took pred for

Asthma for years and gain a lot of weight (nearly 80 pounds). A new

asthma medication has allowed me to slowly lose weight during the last three

years.

But, I'm wondering if that wacky steroid can affect the thyroid?
