Guest guest
Hi Sandy, I was just told a week ago that I had folliculitis! It was at the back of my scalp, and I only knew to ask someone to check out the back of my head because a swollen lymph node popped up. I was told it was a bacterial infection of the scalp, and was on Keflex (antibiotic) for a week. Now I am taking a topical cream (Sivadene, 1%). The rash seemed to be fading with the Keflex, but the Sivadine seems to be taking care of the rest. Are you sure your folliculitis is fungal? If so, then I think they give Fulvacin and/or topical antifungal. Wash towels and pillow cases often, and don't allow others to share them. Sodium ascorbate is a source of vitamin C and Sodium http://www.nutritionfocus.com/nutrition_supplementation/other_supplements/misc/S\ odium_Ascorbate.html#1 and ascorbic acid is also a source of Vitamin C. Sodium chloride is salt (as in table salt). Which prenatal did she recommend? Guest guest
-Hello , Well, first of all I want to say I am not pregnant. These are just supposed to be good vitamins. They are chewable wildberry and called NataChew brand. Why would a vitamin have salt anyway. Is sodium ascorbate salt or not. Still confused. Isn't sodium anything salt? Still not sure if I should take them if they have salt even though it is small amt. Next I need to say that I used Naftin cream on my fungal but extremely sparingly. Just enough to make it quit itching. I just had to have a cyst type of thing removed and like I said with the fungal(now gone)folliculitis, and cyst my body needs something it doesn't seem to be getting. I had allergy test and it didn't find what is up. Not to alarm you or anything but when I was on PTU my dermatologist gave me antibiotics by mouth. After taking no more than 3 of them I immediately started showing my liver panel messing up and my endo immediately told me to stop taking the antibiotics. Seems antibiotics filter of course through your liver. Sure opened my eyes on this organ. I will barely take a tylenol now. The folliculitis is not fungal. I had both. Isn't this a problem that people with diabetes have also. I cannot believe doctors will not investigate all this stuff with Graves. Guest guest
-Hello , I think the gyno was probably trying to up my A since this has 1000IU. I was complaining to her about my rashes and stuff. The bit with the copper is one reason I am nervous about taking the vitamin. There needs to be a test kit for Graves people like they test swimming pools. I stayed off of salt in package foods. A person needs I think 3600 mg. of salt a day. Since I don't know if salt is iodized then I just salted my own food I made with uniodized salt. Then I realized after doctor kept reducing my medicine that it was helping me so I got really into it and reading labels. I couldn't believe how much the american diet uses salt. The average person eating boxed stuff like Ragu, Mac/Cheese/ Hamburger Helper etc. must eat 20,000mg a day or near. Go to your pantry and look. It will amaze you. It is even amazing my hubby. Just the other day when we looked to buy him because I don't eat it canned pinto beans by looking at the labels there is a drastic difference in same products. Just shop wisely if you must eat some of the processed ones at least. Buy tomato paste and sauce without salt. etc. I buy canned vegetables sometimes but the ones with no salt added. Salt is not good for hypertension at all. This is what the inderal does. It slows your heart down. My pulse is 65 now and blood pressure is very normal. http://www.ivillage.co.uk/food/tools/recipefinder/message/0,,12,00.htm l See even the experts say 140mg.or less is best for everyone. We do need salt. Just not a ton which is in most foods when you add them up daily. Sandy(All I know mainly is I am in remission)The lady came out of the endos office who liked cakes and pies so much and the endo was sending her for an RAI. Made me so sad. Thanks for the links.
