As I am in Silverdale, WA, the nearest source of dan help appears to be

Gig Harbor Naturopathic Medicine. Has anybody had experience with either

of the people there on the dan list?

Also, I am considering a possible move back to Wisconsin, so has anybody

had experience with either Dr. Bun in Middleton or Carol sen in

Madison (that name sounds quite familiar for some reason)?

I am beginning to phase in gfcf, have ordered bread and dari-free (though

have had on soy milk in small amounts for a while now) and have

managed to make out a substitution menu. Am gradually replacing non-gfcf

items with gfcf as supplies run out; iws a good eater, but I saw no

reason to suddenly change all her familiar foods in a day or two so am

taking a more gradual route. Funny how approaches on this list run the

gamut from cold turkey or elimiate everything and start over through

gradual elimination, but we're all trying to do the same thing by

different strategies!

I thought that it might be wise to see a

dan

doctor and have some testing done and have some medical support for this,

as has such issues with irritable bowel syndrome (constipation not

diarrhea) and/or some kind of gastrointestinal problem that seems to cause

her a lot of pain when it flares up. This is actually the main reason

that I finally decided we had to try the diet. As is twenty-two

years old, I think it will take longer to see results, so unless there are

circumstances that really indicate she shouldn't be on the diet, I feel we

should be committed to try it for a year from the time that we are

completely gfcf.

Anyway, if anybody has had experience with any of thes doctors/nurses, I

would appreciate your input either on list or privately. The decision to

move to Wisconsin (where we lived for six years before) is being

considered for other reasons, but the dan doctor issue here vs. Wisconsin

will certainly be taken into account.
