Hi,

I am new to this list. I have a 2 yr. 11 mos. old with a fairly recent dx of

autism. I am looking for anyone that might be able to help me find a DAN

doctor in Connecticut, preferably someone people have used and are pleased

with. I found a doctor through the DAN list of doctors, and was very unhappy

with him. I felt he was very financially motivated, and I am in no position

financially to work with someone like that. I told me I could not try to

bill by insurance for testing at labs and that I had to pay him for the lab

fees and he would bill the labs, I wonder what his cut was? He also only

recommended supplement purchases through him which were outrageous in price.

I have ordered some supplements on my own through Kirkman labs but I really

want to consult with a doctor. I am certain my son has need of biomedical

intervention, because he has chronic diahhrea. I would also be interested in

educating my pediatrician because I think he might be willing to work with

me, but there is so much info out there, I don't know where to begin in what

to gather for my pediatrician. I don't want to overwhelm him with the amount

of info that I send him and don't quite know where to start. Please can

anyone help me?

Thank you,

(mother of Dylan)

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that my son just had his very first

hard poop on a gfcf, corn/soy/rice/buckwheat/quinoa and potato free

diet.

You might try it for one week just to see if you get any results.

You basically just feed veges, fruits, peanut butter and meat. We

are then going to reintroduce one thing at a time. For us, it worked

best to eliminate everything and go from there.

Also, the only DAN allergist in my area was going to make me pay for

all this out of pocket as well.

I just printed this out for my physician's assistant. My son's PH on

his poop was a 6, so she knows something is up.
