Guest guest
Hi, Jan, I remember all too well that horrible feeling of not being able to sleep. I would lay there with my eyes closed waiting for my brain to shut down and go into a sleep state but it wouldn't happen. I was down to less than an hour of sleep per night just before going on Tapazole. But the good news is that after you are on medication for a very short period of time you will get the gift of sleep back again. For me, I gained about an hour of sleep every three or four days or so as my levels started to even out until I was up to about 6 hours where I stayed for awhile until now where I get as much sleep as I want. As each week goes by you will feel much better if the Tapazole does it's job. Being able to sleep will be half the battle. Just make sure your levels are being monitored frequently enough in the beginning. Around my 7th or 8th week I started slipping towards hypo when I stayed on a high level of Tapazole too long. You didn't mention any eye problems so hopefully you have avoided them. I know it's hard but be patient, you'll feel better soon. Take care, M.
