Hi,

We took our son to see Dr. Ann Block in early 1999. We had a battery of

tests performed. Interestingly, the skin allergic reactions were more

numerous with Block's skin tests as opposed to those that surfaced with blood

tests done.

Her recommendations basically put our son onto a GFCF diet, as well as

eliminating corn and potatoes. Needless to say, he became quite thin. But

he began to improve within a couple of weeks.

Now he eats some corn, some potato (with no problems) and he remains GFCF.

Dr. Block has collaborated with our physician (Jeff Bradstreet in FL) so she

knows what we are doing now and we periodically send her updates on our son's

progress.

She is very nice and is a pioneer as a woman and physician in helping

autistic/ADD/ADHD/AS children. She was great!

Why did she have you eliminate corn and potatoes? Did your son test positive

for

these foods or was it for some other reason?

He showed sensitivity on the skin test for potatoes and corn, however, via

blood testing, just very mild sensitivity for potatoes only. I don't know

why it doesn't show up via both testing methods.
