Hi ph:

You aren't the only male in this group,

as there are a lot of men who also

get Graves.

Maybe you've already received some

responses, but I would suggest that

you consider the following:

-There's no reason (in my opinion)

that you should have to put up with

inability to sleep & feelings of weakness

for long periods of time.

-You may need a new doctor, as it

doesn't seem as though you doctor

knows very much about Graves.

Graves is very, very different from

just hypo or just hyper alone.

-You need to post for us blood test

results for:

-Free T3

-Free T4

-TSH

-And (if possible), also TSI.

-From what you mention in your posting,

yes you need medication...but not until

the test #s can be reviewed to see if you

are mostly hyper or hypo.

-Please take care & if you have do, I think

it would be well worth your effort to go

to another doctor.... & " demand " tests

for at least the first 3 noted above.

All the best, & keep us posted.

Best,

Ron

Graves since 4/01, with TED, including

double vision, bulging eyes, inflamation,

however...getting closer to remission &

eyes are improving.
