Guest guest
Hi Pam, I hope you don't mind me writing to you, but I was wondering if you had an opinion on a recommendation from my NMT practitioner. By the way, how are you in your remission? I don't know if the NMT is helping me or not. I had 3 treatments, just for curiosity. I do know that my dose of PTU was too high, and I'm down to 50mgs/day, but I think that I would be on this dose regardless. I think I'll get tested for FT's and Ab's in a couple of weeks after being at this dose. If my antibodies are way down, I'll give some credit to the NMT. She suggested these supplements: 1) Catalyn (multivitamin) Cataplex F (perles) http://www.standardprocess.com/sp_catalog_product_detail.asp 2) Thyrotrophin PMG http://www.standardprocess.com/sp_catalog_product_detail.asp and http://www.standardprocess.com/lit/tabsheets/ThytrophinPMG8025.pdf 3) Bugleweed. Currently, I am taking Natachew (a prenatal, though I'm holding off on pregnancy for now till I stabilize as I think I'm hypO), calcium (500mg), milk thistle, and the PTU. I don't think I'll mess with any bugleweed while considering pregnancy. The Cataplex simply looks like it mainly contains flax oil, but maybe concentrated and without the calories?? (Or maybe useless...) And the thyrotrophin...well, I think it is cow thyroid with the T4 extracted. I asked her to tell me more about the thyrotrophin, and she wrote: " Protomorphogens are protein determinants, catalyzers of protein synthesis. They are fractional blueprints of the cell. They are considered as non-vitamin foods & they don't contain any hormones. To put it simply you are putting the brain back into the organ to help enhace the way that it is supposed to function. " I do wonder if these are things to consider adding to my regimen or if I should head for the hills! Does it make any sense to you? Thanks,
