Guest guest
Pat, I don't really have the answer about when to start using an aromatase inhibitor. I think it may depend on when bone age starts advancing and/or you start seeing physical signs of adrenarche (body odor, pubic/underarm hair, acne, etc.), but don't quote me on this! I think we really missed the boat a long time ago though. We though was in precocious puberty, because of all the signs, but test results didn't confirm this. I didn't have the official RSS diagnosis until last summer at the convention when was 9.75 years. Dr. H recommended he start the aromatase inhibitor, but his local endo knew nothing about this & was not going to prescribe something he wsan't familiar with. After we saw Dr. H again in New York, he agreed to give this a trial, and we didn't actually start Aromasin until was 10 yrs. 4 mos. old. If it is helpful to you & others who may be wondering, I will post what 's bone ages/heights/weights were at various ages as well as pertinent data related to adrenarche so you can see how he progressed.
