Hi Lori, I have been gone on vacation for a while and so just read

your post. I would definitely say 450 mgs is too high of dose in

pregnancy. I was never put on any higher of dose than 300 mgs., even if

my levels were high. I actually spiked a little higher early in

pregnancy as a result of elevated pregnancy hormones and naturally

dropped midway through the pregnancies. I went to a high risk endo also

but my endo and ob were on the ball as I also went to a high risk ob. I

had several ultra sounds to keep track of the growth of the babies. I

will write more as your situation progresses. I have much to tend to in

my home,ie unpacking, mail, you know. I.

,

Thank you so much for responding to my post. I, too, have decided

that 450 mg. was not something I was willing to risk (especially

since my FT4 has fallen into the high end of normal). I have labs

again a week from tomorrow. I am kind of anxious to see what those

look like, as I feel like perhaps I should be starting to cut my

PTU. I am in my fourth month and from what I have picked up, that

seems to be around the time some women's thyroid levels start to even

out. I am hoping this to be the case with mine, also, I am just a

bit worried about going hypo. I can't imagine feeling any more tired

than I am! I also have a four year old at home to care for and

between him, the new one on the way, the old man and keeping up with

the house, I really don't need the graves slowing me down anymore!!

Again, thanks for taking time out of your busy day to respond!

Lori
