Guest guest
Lori, just read that your Ft4 is in upper normal end. This is an indicator that your levels are indeed dropping. But more than ever you need to lower your dosage as it is acceptable for pregnancy levels to be in the upper normal range even just slightly high for Ft3 and Ft4. Anything lower puts you at risk for hypo. I know this first hand as in one my pregnancies I had an incompetent endo who continued to try to normalize my TSH causing me to have below normal T4 levels. I had a terrible pregnancy with much complications including pre term labor and bleeding. Knowing what I know now I am sure it was related to my levels being way to low. You must emphasize to your endo and ob that you should only be on enough PTU to keep you in the upper normal ranges and no lower. You are midway, watch how fast you drop on your own, especially by month 7 when you may only need say 25 to 50 mgs a day. Hope this is informative. I.
