Hi everyone. I frequent several lists, so I jump in and out, but I wanted to

give

you all an update. We started the GFCF diet March 00, we saw a great difference.

We

did an infringement test in December after a total elimination diet. Within 3

weeks

our son was having psychotic episodes, and hallucinating on a daily basis. We

went

back to STRICT GFCF diet. We started chelating our son in Decemeber (around the

same time as diet infringement...yes silly us, NEVER try 2 things at once,

sometimes we are in such a rush to fix...) SO we gave infringement test 2 this

March. We have noticed regression, poor eye contact, and excessive flapping off

the

diet. It's funny, we never knew if the diet was " working " but you certainly

notice

a difference when off. It may not be immediate, it can be a slow trip down, but

it

was horrible. I have several friends who tried the diet for a year, with no

change....I was hoping my child would be one that the diet did not help (I mean

come on, we have to deal with this disability on a daily basis, fight IEP's,

Tear

down obnocheous on lookers, WHILE keeping our sanity in tact, WOULDN'T it be

nice

if we could just order a pizza, or go through a drive thru, instead of playing

Martha too???) BUT, I would like to report, ON diet, my son is totally

mainstreamed with a 100 average in spelling, and math, He is making NT friends

(slowly but surely) and he is adjusting beautifully to the hard task of

normalcy...Wanted to share, and for you newbies...It's a REAL rough road, but so

worth it! :)-Shari
