Guest guest
, What a great idea and a wonderful way to spend the second anniversary of your grandmother's passing. As close at it sounds you and your family are, I am sure she would be so proud of you to do this! ) Isn't it great to have a close family? I am also in one of those and I don't know what I would do without them! Mom and Dad are there through everything. Heck, they took and I to Chicago! I don't know if you remember me. But, I stood in for Jodi Zwain by the pool when you were running the game. I can't remember what game it was though! LOL. She had me watch over the prizes for a few minutes. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that your walk idea is wonderful, and don't apologize for telling your story! I loved reading it. ) Take care and have fun on the 2nd, Jodi R. So, I was lying in bed last night trying to find a good time to do this walk for MAGIC. October here in Chicago can be iffy. So I wanted to do it as early as possible in the month. Anyway, long story short, I've decided to do my walk on Saturday, October 2. It will be the 2nd anniversary of grandmother's passing. She died at home from a long battle w/ an illness. Although it wasn't a " shock " it was quite devastating to our family b/c we were/are all very close. So, my walk is going to be from my house to my grandpa's house ( where she died) and back (a total of 6 miles I believe). It will give me time to reflect and remember. My mom is joining me so we can reminisce together. Plus, I know my grandma would've joined us. She adored Christian and, unfortunately, only knew him the first 11 months of his life. But he was special to her b/c she had lost a child who was Christian's size back in the 50's and my grandparents thought his birth and survival at 2 lbs. was a miracle. Anyway, I know that this really doesn't have much to do with the walk itself. But I just wanted to share w/ you guys how I've decided to make this walk even more meaningful. Now, hopefully I can make it there and back!!!! LOL!!! Well, I've rambled long enough. Sorry if you found this boring I was just really excited. Hope all is well with everyone.
