Guest guest
Hiya everyone!!! We are very excited that we have started GHT. I gave Coby his first shot this afternoon at the doc's office. Actually, the first shot caught him off guard and he flung it across the room. Lucky we have extra in the vial. The second went much better. We held him..hehe He didn't even cry. We are hoping for great things to come. I do have one question. They are trying to talk me into switching to a pin because of the extra amount that will be wasted each 14 days when the vial expires. Dr. H told us to use the suringe and I am comfortable with it and the inject ease. Any thoughts on other facts I can use to discourage this idea? Thanks, le and , Shye 9, Brock 7, and Carlee & Coby(rss)
Guest guest
GOOD NEWS!!! You can do both, that is what we do to save on the GH. We use the 12mg Humatrope Pen, BUT we only use the CARTRIDGE (like a vial) from the pen. It comes with the cartridge and a ready amount of dilutant. Then instead of inserting the cartridge into a pen, we simply draw up GH out of the cartridge into a syringe and use the Injectease. Here is another reason for doing it this way. Because Coby is so young, his GH dosages will be adjusted every 3 months for weight. These adjustments are often very small, and NONE of these could be done with a pen, because the pen " clicks " in far larger amounts. The pen is better when a child is older. Good luck! > Hiya everyone!!! > > We are very excited that we have started GHT. I gave Coby his first > shot this afternoon at the doc's office.
