My NT son has had swollen glands for about 1 year now. He seems fine. But

he snores like an old man.

Our dentist noticed that he grinds his teeth, asked if he snores and said I

should take him in to see if he has a blockage -- He said it's probably his

tonsils.

I plan to take him to the pediatrician (again). I have had him in 3 times

for the glands. Blood tests show no problems. Each time, they gave him

antibiotics. His glands would go down some. I don't want to do another round

of antibiotics. Anyone have any suggestions.

Evelyn,

See if you can get a referral (if you need one) to a Pediatric ENT

specialist, as that would be the correct person to decide about a need to

remove tonsils/adenoids. Also, you might want to think about an allergist as

well (or instead), children as well as adults who have allergies can often

have chronically swollen glands. My nt 4.5 yr old son has chronic seasonal

allergies and almost always has some enlarged nodes around his neck in

various spots.
