Guest guest
Hello, I'm a new member to the group. I haven't got Graves but I have lived with it for over 8 years as my husband has it. When he was first diagnosed it was passed off as an 'overactive thyroid' which we didn't consider to be too serious. We were offered no information, help or support. At that time I didn't have access to the internet. It was a nightmare for many years and he has recently has a re-lapse. His anger became unbearable and I didn't know why, it all came to a head one day and I looked on the internet for information. I was astounded. I couldn't beleive how the medical profession had let us down. They knew nothing of this disease, I can truly believe it can be the breakdown of many relationships. We are still struggling to live with it and I support him 100%, its not easy but its not his fault. I'm in the UK and I don't know of any support groups here. If any of you know of any support here I would be very grateful. Jemima
