For the hotdogs, I would suspect that the nitrates and nitrites may be

causing problems... We use hotdogs without nitrates and nitrites(from

the health food store).

I know you posted this awile ago and don't remember if you got any

replys, but I was just cleaning out some of my computer folders and found

your post here in my " to answer " folder, so here goes what I can

remember-

* hydrolyzed vegetable protein

*some modified food starch

*raisins packed in canister sometimes have flour used on them so they

don't stick- use the raisins in boxes

*some rice syrups are made with barley extracts

*caramel coloring is questionable

*maltodextrin maybe?

*Tofiutti non-dairy ice cream is not gluten free according to " Specuial

Diets for Special Kids "

*some baking yeast is grown on a wheat substrate

*cross contamination from your toaster, roof of your microwave, shared

knife cutting sandwiches

*imitation seafood (most) contain a starch binder)

*envelops

*flour is sometimes used to prevent garlic powder from sticking
