These aren't the best tests, but the blood tests suggest mild to moderate

hyperthyroidism and the uptake scan suggests mild hyperthyroidism probably

caused

by Graves' disease.

The total thyroxine is often falsely elevated, and the Index is considered an

obsolete test. Tests for FT4 and FT3 are more helpful in that they measure

your levels of free or available thryoid hormone. The total level you had

measures free hormone and the protein molecules that transport it through the

blood.

In this form it's inactive. I have a page on lab tests, including the uptake

on my web site at http://daisyelaine_co.tripod.com/gravesdisease/ Take care,

Elaine

If you feel normal during the day taking Armour and splitting it

twice a day but feel hypo and havve trouble sleeping at night because

you feel hypo. What does this mean?

Do you need to spread out your dose more to 3 times a day or add

synthroid. My labs have showed normal TSH normal T3 2/3 of way up on

Free T3 but very bottom end of normal on Free T4.
