Guest guest
In my area, the school systems are as ignorant as the doctors about ASD. I worry about all the ASD kids that are being labeled and treated as though, in most cases, they are ADD, or behavior problems or other learning disabilities. The teachers and principals all see a rise in behavior problems, some even associate it with diet, but most blame parenting and/or t.v. In order to educate the school systems someone has to educate the doctors. And it would be helpful if the l.d. teachers were being educated, and if the testing that is done for l.d's would incorporate ASD. I wonder how long it will take to get the message out. And I'm only talking about recognizing ASD, not treating it, not educating about the diet. Lolita
