Guest guest
I'm worrying about this issue as well. I know that this spiritualistic sharing of communion is a vital part of our church, how do we deal with this? We use papaya enzymes for just-in-case situations but I don't know how well it would work for communion, weekly. Do all Catholic celiacs give up church? This is a difficult situation. Lolita >And the deeper communion issue, that we are all supposed to be sharing this >common food, it's just tough that it works for most people, but not us. Do >we stay left out and not take it? Are we being " disobedient " to our God? >UnChrist-like? Separating ourselves from the very people we wish to join? >Unforgiven for our sins by not taking? Guest guest
The only enzyme product endorsed by the manufacturer for regular use with gluten/casein foods is Peptizyde from Houstons at www.houstonni.com. However, you may get satisfactory results from other products, too. We used to avoid communion half the time and then just endure the consequences the other half. (I feel the Lord understands either way personally). Many parents are successfully using Peptizyde daily without any reactions or regression after 2 months. My two boys and myself are in that group, and it is so wonderful to just " go to church " without worrying, or " go on a trip " and relax. In fact, we are seeing so many additional benefits with enzymes, I have a lot to be thankful for. I plain ol' need the spiritual input. . > I'm worrying about this issue as well.
