Did anyone else get this notice? And does anyone know if our board is going to

stay up?

Important announcement about your GFCFKids Intranet

Dear ,

My name is Leavitt and I am the Vice President of Product

Marketing at Intranets.com.

I want to thank you for being a member of this intranet and share with

you an important announcement regarding our service.

You may have noticed that your intranet has recently been upgraded to

a trial version of the Professional Edition. At Intranets.com, we have

decided to eliminate the free, advertising-supported version of our

service and convert to a subscription-based offering. As a member,

this means that you will enjoy the benefits of an interface that is

completely free of advertising, and get exclusive access to additional

new features, such as:

· Task Manager

· Expense Report application

· Wireless Access

· And more

We have notified your administrators of this change, and let them

know we'd be communicating with you. It is up to them to decide

whether or not to subscribe and pay a monthly fee to keep this

intranet activated.

We suggest that you talk to your administrators and find out whether

or not your intranet will be upgraded to the Professional Edition.

(If your administrator has already subscribed, please disregard

this notice, and accept our thanks for being a Professional

Edition member.)

If your administrators have decided not to subscribe, you might want

to retrieve any data you have posted on your intranet before this site

is deactivated. For instructions on how to retrieve your data, please

visit the Data Transition Guide on our website. If you have enjoyed

using this intranet service, you can create your intranet at

Intranets.com and then transfer your data to your own intranet site.

But hurry -- if your administrators choose not to subscribe, this

intranet will be deactivated on June 30th.

I understand you might have questions about these changes. Please

talk to your administrators soon to find out what they are planning to

do. And don't hesitate to contact me or the Intranets.com Help Desk at

help@... if we can assist you in any way.

Regards,

Leavitt

Vice President of Product Marketing

This stinks!!!!!!

Is there any way that we can get with a different intranet?

Boy oh boy they don't give you much time to react.

I hope everything works out for our group.

As far as I can tell, intranets.com is not affiliated in any way with

Yahoo, this doesn't have anything to do with GFCFKids at Yahoogroups (right

Cara???). Perhaps it's the file sharing board that was set up by one of the

parents a while ago. Of course it could also just be unsolicited spam

hoping to get you to sign up for their service.
