Guest guest
Houston was hit hard by a flood last week. And now that the flood is over( still recovering)and we are " blessed " with pestilence ( mainly fire ants and mosquitos)after the flood. What has people used as repellants for mosquitos for our kids? I never liked or used DEET for any of my kids but they are literally being biten alive even in the day time. So I won't use that. Any suggestions out there of natural and GFCF alternative. Avon's skin so soft has had mixed results but I don't know if it is GFCF or what other preservative/additives it has. Any ideas? Also what do folks use to prevent the itching and decrease scratching once they are biten by a mosquito or ants? I figured this info would help everyone, Here in Houston we are just getting into earlier than the rest because of the flood. Guest guest
The best I've found to prevent the itching is SKEETER STIK- Benzocaine 5%, Menthol 1% in a base of Isopropyl alcohol and Propylene glycol. Don't know the gfcf status of this, but it works. I get it at Wal-Mart but you may have to ask the pharmacist to order it (other Wal-Marts carry it, so they can order it).
