Guest guest
> Hi, I'm looking for someone who has tried seeing a homeopathic > doctor? Any luck? Also, anyone know which route is a better > choice, > homeopathy or herbs or acupuncture or some combination of? I think that even our most " alternative " members would be hesitant about going solely with homeopathy. I do wonder how much of a role homeopathy played in my treatment. Before and in the early weeks of ATD treatment I took homeopathic thyroid (preceded by a constitutional the person I consulted decided was appropriate for me) and I'm not willing to discount it. The herbs commonly used are very potent and you would really need to be managed - similarly to how you would be on ATDs - the same bloodwork - by a very experienced ND or holistic MD/DO. If you really want to go the alternative route from what I've seen it seems that the herbal component would be central with homeopathy, acupuncture, etc. being important but not key. Take care, Fay P.S. IIRC kosher salt is not iodized. Maybe Terry could comment on this and alternative medicine. I'm especially curious because I'm having trouble with sinuses and may do a homemade salt rinse. I guess I better be sure the salt is not iodized. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
Sorry it took me so long to reply!! I thought I had a 'saved' post on my own experience with alternative medicine, but couldn't find one. Please do search the archives for alternative medicine and B and see if you can find something comprehensive, a summary perhaps. But I would recommend that you do a combination of herbs, acupuncture and homeopathy. Like Faye, I can't say for sure that homepathy did not help but don't know if it did! I used homeopathy, acpuncture and a macrobiotic diet and went into remission six weeks after starting all three of those things AND weaning a nursing baby. I do think that weaning was vital for my remission, allowing my body to recover from four continuous years of childbirth and pregnancy. But I think that homeopathy did indeed help: I had some dramatic results (as far as feeling better, calmer) within days of taking my first remedy. All in all, I think most people here have done anumber of 'alternative' things together and I guess I would recommend that, rather than relying on one treatment. Please feel free to ask me any questions off-list or to reply here with further inquiries about alternative medicine, too. Best, petri017@...
