Question, though, why does the clock have to start all over again, if the reason he is using the button is because of a stomach flu? The fact is that the only reason you are using the button is because he has one -- my kid would be in the hospital with an IV because she doesn't have one. It doesn't seem fair that they would penalize him for getting a stomach flu. Now, if he went back to the prior problems, where he wasn't eating, had pain, couldn't go to school, etc. then it seems like it would make sense to use the 18 month thing.
