Guest guest
Hi , I agree with leaving the ATD alone and rechecking levels in 5 weeks. The recommended maintenance dose of methimazole is 2.5-10.0 mg daily so 15 mg is already a bit on the high side. The range for FT4 for 18 years and up is usually 0.8-1.8 or 0.8-2.0 so a 1.7 FT4 isn't worrisome. Sounds like Lillee is doing great. Take care, Elaine
Guest guest
Hi Elaine, Thanks for the reply! It's very reassuring to be able to get another expert opinion which confirms that our doc is on the right track. I guess it's just taking a little longer than usual to get her dosage down to the 2.5-10.0 mg daily that you recommend. Lillie IS doing well. Day before yesterday a friend of hers persuaded her to go for a very long walk. We've not been able to get her to exercise AT ALL. So yesterday she says " I feel extra good today " . Surprise surprise, huh? There isn't a person alive who doesn't feel better if they get outside and move their bodies. Hoping this is a trend! With much appreciation always, > Hi , > I agree with leaving the ATD alone and rechecking levels in 5 weeks.
