Hi Gail,

I agree, Graves' can be very tough for family and friends to understand. One

thing that helps is to tell others and ourselves that it's a physical problem

caused by our thyroid levels being wrong. Then, of course, you need to find a

way to take a time out.

There's a useful letter to families and friends at the following link.

You can also find much useful information in our file section at Yahoo and also

by searching the messages. There's a comprehensive letter from Pam B. and a

symptoms list, as well as other info. The files are at

groups.yahoo.com/group/graves_support/files

You need a Yahoo ID, which is easy to get at the site.

Best wishes,

Many thanks for this link. I think this is just what I need or rather,

what my

friends need. I have tried to explain what is wrong but I don't think they quite

understand because I look great, probably due to the weight loss before

medication.

I had an ingrowing toenail removed earlier in the week and ooh did I get a lot

of support,

sympathy and help for that but Graves'? hmm not really.

I am finding it terribly difficult to cope with the constant tiredness and

really do need

help. I live alone and have recently bought a house that was in serious need of

renovation, still is, I had to stop.

I think Saturday night's are when I really feel bad, mainly because I don't have

the

strength to go out partying with friends but on the bright side, I am going to

achieve the

fastest remission in history... just watch *G*
