Guest guest
Hi Elaine and everyone, Here are Lillie's latest labs. (We got the FREE T3 this time.) Her FT3 is normal, but her FT4 has once again gone up a bit. (TSH has been going down a tiny bit, but that doesn't signify much -- right?) Doctor has recommended she maintain her current dosage of 15 mg Methimazole. She's mostly doing pretty well -- having a little trouble sleeping. She's in the swing of her fall schedule and seems to be handling it OK. Her previous depression did seem connected to simple boredom, and she's doing better now. She's still kind of forgetful and absent-minded, but we're not sure if that's Graves-related or just her natural way. Her pulse and most symptoms remain under control. Please let me know what you think. Her new numbers are: 10/6/03 T4 free, direct: 1.74 (0.83 - 1.44) TSH: 0.041 (0.360 - 5.800) Free T3: 4.4 (2.8 - 5.2 for age range 16-18 yrs) Doctor recommends she remains on her current dosage of 15 mg per day, and get labs again in about 5 weeks. Previous 2 labs: 8/8/03 T4 free, direct: .86 (0.83 - 1.44) TSH: 0.055 (0.360 - 5.800) T3: 113 (91-164) Her dosage was lowered on 8/11/03, from 20 to 10 mg. 9/5/03 T4 free, direct: 1.54 (0.83 - 1.44) TSH: 0.045 (0.360 - 5.800) T3: 172 (91-164) Dosage up to 15 mg. Thank you all for being here! - (Mom of Lillie -- 17 yrs old and diagnosed in May 03) *********
