belle's walk

Just wanted to share the great news about belle's walk.

She made it 3.5 miles on Saturday. She was joined by 5 of her

kindergarten friends. It was amazing how supportive her friends

were, all wanting to join in and do extra chores around the house

to raise money. Our local paper ran a 3 column article on her

and MAGIC. She raised over $1500 and we really didn't even

push the fundraising that hard. Her pride was tremendous. Her

friend is ready to join in next year! This walk-a-thon came at the

perfect time for my daughter--she has just started feeling

self-conscious about her height, but all this attention and

positive support has made her feel special and proud to be who

she is, capable of really making a difference in the world.

Thanks to all who organized this fantastic opportunity to

contribute. I look forward to hearing how much money was

raised by all.
