Guest guest
Hi Rifat, Glad to hear from you. Sory for the delay in answering. I was very busy the last couple of days and could not get a chance to read the messages here on the list. I see you have the same question we all have about our RSS children, which is how do we get them to eat. I am not sure if you are also asking how to get your daughter off a feeding tube. I have not had that experience so other will have to answer that. As for getting a child to eat, it is difficult. First, here in the U.S.A. doctors often perscribe cyproheptadine to stimulat ones appetite. It is not as widely used in Europe/Asia as here in the U.S. Even with the cyproheptadine, it is difficult. It sometimes does not work well. So we have to try other things. What has been most successful for us is to distract our son. Let him watch his favorite video on television or play a game with him and have him eat while playing a game. This seems to work best. Also, having regular eating times works good too. This gets children into the routine of eating a specific intervals. In some, this has " trained " them to be hungry. I can't think of anything else at the moment, Hopefully, some one else has some good ideas for you. I hope this helps Ken M > > Regarding my daughter Deniz > > > hi from turkey. y´ m writing again. y´ heard about > kinderhospital in frankfurt. my daughter had hardly > eating problem. she is 2,5 old and 11,3kg and 82cms. > she s a rss. she dont want to eat and feeding with > g-tube since last 1,5 years.
