Guest guest
Hi Our son Liam is 3ys 4mnths, it was only at the magic convention this year, when Dr H suggested Liam had reflux that we had ever considered it. Liam is now on zantac and complains of pain if he misses it, which he had never done before(he must of not known the pain was abnormal) Could be constipated, Liam does not tolerate his formula if he is constipated. I think that some RSS kids, shut down their gut, very easily, if they are sick, not getting enough food, constipated(what comes first??) Has got a gtube, if so could the tube be blocking the exit (pylorus) of her stomach, this has happened to Liam in the past and some of the other kids. Definitely look into the reflux? Hope this helps, let us know how she is Jody(mum to Liam RSS and Cameron not RSS 6ys) > > Hi Everyone > > I was wondering when it comes to reflux and the delayed stomach > emptying, can that develop at any time or is that right from birth? > > Before went to bed last night she had a can of pediasure and > all night she was kicking and crying that her stomach hurt and asked > me to walk with her. Guest guest
Hi , My son Henry did not show signs of reflux but when he had a PH probe it was discovered severe. Since he had the nissan and has been on the meds his reflux has been so much better. As far as the gastric emptying - the jury is still out how much the pyloroplasty actually improved his motility. What does your GI think? Henry - 4yrs RSS - 8yrs nonRSS
Guest guest
Ok so I don't think her stomach ache or throwing up had anything to do with other than her cold that dropped into her throat because now she has laryngitis and the doctor said it is a precursor to croup. She does sound a little " barky " when she gets upset. So far we have a negative on the strep test. Thank you all for your comments. I appreciate your thoughts and time to respond.
