But he doesn't have the loss of speech skills, abdominal cramping, decrease eye contact, ect that is usually associated with a gluten or casein infringement with him, so I tend to just think that he's happy to finally get something " normal " for a change.. Usually we eat in the restaurant and he gets to play in the playground thing so I think it's also atmosphere and excitement of the moment. Since we learned how to order burgers w/o bun or condiments, he's been eating those too with no problem.. We've been on diet since April, and I remember that early on, anytime he got a liking of anything too much I'd panic, thinking that there was something in it that he was getting his fix off of.. But I've since decided that there are just some foods for him that make him happy, pure and simple. I believe they were gfcf when I last checked but do contain a chemical (preservative?) that some parents report kids are having a reaction to. We let our son eat fries only there (not very often) and make sure he gets his enzymaid when he does. So far seems ok.
Guest guest
I think this is a common reaction among us. If our child really likes it there must be something wrong with it. is right. We need to remember that every one has foods they really like and that does not mean they are all bad. In the stone age, when I was a teen, we used to order a plate of French fries and the whole gang sat around eating them. That was before Mcs was a chain so as I said back in the stone age. ;o) Betty ----- Original Message ----- > We've been on diet since April, and I remember that early on, anytime he got > a liking of anything too much I'd panic, thinking that there was something in > it that he was getting his fix off of.. Guest guest
No, I'm not worried about her liking them therefor they must be bad I'm worried about Mc 's and how they have been dishonest lately. I may have been misinformed so please someone fill me in if I have but I was told that they were being sued because they used a powdered beef broth on their French fries and was worried about what was in that broth. Thanks! Theresa > I think this is a common reaction among us. If our child really likes it > there must be something wrong with it. is right. Guest guest
That is the first that I have heard of this. I wonder if any one has heard of this and if there is a web site about it? Guest guest
Hi, Just thought I'd add to this thread - my son can no longer eat Mc's at all. The last few times I took him he screamed and had horrible diarrhea right after he ate there. We are now eating out at 's and he seems fine with their fries and burgers with no bun. I have no idea what he was reacting to, but it was definitely something in Mc's food. Guest guest
Thanks for the clarification . I guess these men are finding out what we already know. Not everything is listed in ingredient labels. --Betty Re: Re: Mc s > The story with the fries is this: two men, lawyers, here in Seattle, did in > fact initiate a law suit against Mcs because they discovered that > Mcs was using a beef extract in the fries for flavor and the men are > Hindu and therefore cannot consume any beef or beef derivative - against the > religion with cows being sacred. Guest guest
We are now eating out at 's and he seems > fine with their fries and burgers with no bun. First of all, it seems to me that you can't assume between different restaurants of a chain like Mc's, 's, etc. While the ingredients and practices maybe are supposed to be the same, I'd question the manager at each new one you plan to frequent and even watch what you can of their practices. And as has already been pointed out in the past, the potential for mistakes at this kind of chain fast-food restaurant is high. Secondly, it was my understanding that 's can not guarantee their French fries are ok--has this canged? Of course, if you have an understanding with your particular 's, that's great.
