Guest guest
Hi everybody I don't know if any of you are doing this diet.....the one with venison, ostrich, musells, etc, green leafy veggies and fruit only. The 7 day rotation special diet I believe. Anyway, I work with a little boy whose mom is thinkign of trying this diet...she saw the special foods website, and she has heard an anecdotal account that it works. What I am looking for is someone who has tried it, as it will be hard to implement and EXPENSIVE!!! Any feedback would be appreciated. The little guy is already GFCF, and this diet is gfcf and then some. Jayme
Guest guest
If you are asking about the Special Foods diet, yes I know someone who has done it. They have seen significant gains, noticeable to everyone. But there are two caveats to this testimonial. First, their child was on tons of drugs and supplements, and some observers think at least some of the progress is a result of getting off some of these drugs. Second, I think one could do a reasonably facsimile of this diet themselves, with obscure foods from health food sources, for considerably less money. It is basically a gfcf, grain-free, sugar-free, rare foods rotation diet. The child eats the meat of the day, oil of the day, starch of the day, vegetable of the day, from a list of foods not eaten in the past year that are really obscure. Like okra, cassava, ostrich, rabbit, etc. If I weren't cooking the same for my whole family, chelating, and nearing 5 years of gfcf, this is how I would try the diet, without paying $1000 a month for one child's food. My opinion only, the mom who does it thinks it is worth every penny and that she couldn't have done this herself without the Special Foods lady.
