Guest guest
Hi again everyone, I wanted to share my day and see if anyone has insight. My husband woke yesterday with " hives " on the back of his knee that looked like lots of bug bites. By the end of the day yesterday they were everywhere. Today he woke with his hands very swollen and the hives were now rings. That is a welt with the center white and a red ring. I insisted he go to the doctor. To make this short, they basically took blood work and said they do not know what is going on. For those thinking ring worm, I questioned it since he has atheletes feet really bad on one foot. I was told no because the rash spread too fast. Anyone else experience these type of hives? Do you know what caused it? As much as the doctor didn't want to believe me it could be related to his gluten issues, I really think it is. Can anyone back me up with personal experience? When I looked up DH/Celiac the rash described was more like the cracking and bleeding he used to get on his hands. Not these ring shaped things. I've got to go and work on reminding God He has me confused with someone else these days. This is all more than I can handle. Joyce

Guest guest
Thank you everyone for your replies. As far as the guess for Lyme Disease, NOPE! There is no center bulls eye and the welts are not perfect circles any longer. Infact last night they looked as if they were going away and now today they are coming back more and larger! The doctor said it is not ringworm. I'm not sure why she said that it is not. I think it was because it spread so fast. My guess is it is definitely a reaction to something or it could be associated with the fungal issues of his foot. He has a really bad case of atheletes foot on one foot. Pitoriasis ica ??? I'm going to see if I can find anything on this. We are still looking. I guess he will need to call a skin doctor tomorrow. Thanks for thoughts.
