It sure looks like you're on the right meds, right dose. If the doc was too

concerned over heart rate you would have been prescribed a beta blocker to

bring it down. Most GD patients are, temporarily, then weaned off when the

heart rate comes down and the GD gets to be controlled. It does take some

weeks before the Methimazole actually works, basically because it inhibits

production of new thyroid hormone, but you still have lots stored that has

to get used up. Taking your meds evenly spaced through the day will indeed

make you get better much faster than doing all one dose--so your endo is on

the ball there.

Regarding the Beta Blocker, I have to say I never did like them myself, and

refused to take them after about 2 days. And, I got better without

endangering my heart. But my heart rate was more like 100, not 130, so it's

something you need to consider.
