PTU to TAP? PTU volatility alert?/Elaine, others

Hi, I hear Elaine is on vacation for a few days. The shortages of ATDs do make

you wonder--certainly it's not a priority to keep them in stock (perhaps this

would be a time for Canadians to order meds from the US instead of vice versa!).

As I understand it. you;r correct that the dosages are comparable on a 10 to 1

basis (100 mg. PTU = 10 mg. Tap). Tap seems to be considered as effective or

more so in suppressing virus production, so you should be OK there, though it's

distressing to switch from what's working.
