Guest guest
Please try not to be nervous. You can easily get a taxi at LaGuardia and the driver will take you where you need to go. You can hook up Laikyn's car seat right in the cab. The prices are regulated, meaning everyone should be charging the same price no matter which taxi you get. (Just remember to tip the driver when you arrive at the hotel. In NYC, just about everyone expects a tip.) NYC is very big and crowded and scary, I know, but you will be fine. You will find that most people are helpful and kind. Use the people at the hotel. They will help you find your way. They are used to newcomers and tourists. And if you are checking out of the hotel on the day you see Dr. H, the hotel may hold your things for you. They usually have a closet that they use to lock up the luggage, etc, for guests who are checked out, but not leaving right away. You can go to Dr. H., take a taxi back to the hotel, ask him to wait while you get your things and then go to the airport from there. I would also suggest that you contact ne Barrie. She went to NYC for the first time this summer. (She is from Australis.) She can help you figure out how to maneuver around the city. If you email me privately, I will give you her address, unless she has read this message already. Jodi Z
