sandy...i am afraid to take anymore meds of any kind....lol.....I am sorry to

hear how you r feeling..sounds like a terrible bug to have...and i am sorry

to hear about your hubby....wishes for a speedy recovery for him....and for

you...

..

The only thing i can suggest..without including meds...is turn the hot water

on in your bathtub and sink...close the door..and inhale the steam....clears

me up...or i boil the kettle and pour into a salad bowl and add a teaspoon of

vicks vapour rub....put a towel over my head and the bowl and inhale...

as for the cough...not sure where your from...but Riccoli cough and throat

drops r nice to sooth the throat....the riccoli is herbal...lemon/honey or

cherry....

I dunno what else to suggest....

Also.....put a really big sign up at work that says STAY HOME IF YOUR SICK

!!!!

I have heard from half a dozen others that think the Vioxx may be causing the

rise in blood pressure...talkin to my GP tomorrow....

take care for now....

I just realized that this advil cold and sinus may not be so great for me to

take, but I'm gonna take it anyway. My gums hurt me so bad I can't hardly stand

it. I've heard anything with pseudoephedrine in it ain't so great, but too

late, I just took one. My nose is so sore I can't hardly touch it. Finally had

to break down tonite and buy some puffs with aloe in them so I can actually blow

my nose. I feel like I've been run over by a truck. ughhh.

The best news I got all day was when hubby's catherization was over, they said

there is such minimal damage to his heart, and that his previous stints that

were put in several years ago look good. He's had 3 heart attacks since we got

married almost 7 yrs ago. It's starting to really wear on me. :-(

I had forgotten about the Riccola cough suppressant stuff, I'll have to pick

some up tomorrow. If all goes well, my dr will be able to see me tomorrow and

I'm going in to see him. I got to have some relief. I guess I've been lucky not

getting sick in about 14 months till now. I was really hoping the ATD's would

help with that, as I used to get upper respiratory infections ALL the time.

Sandy,

Read your post. I agree -- I wish people would keep their germs to

themselves (or at least attempt to stay away from others when most

contagious). Just wanted to let you know I'm sending wellness wishes your

way, for you and your hubby.

Hi Sandy, hope you made it through the night ok with taking the cold

medicine. That is what got me into the doctors and diagnosed finally -

taking cold medicine and then having a bad reaction - thought my heart was

going to jump out of my body... you could SEE it under my skin - scarry.

Hope you didn't suffer the same reaction!

A really good cold remedy that I discovered recently is a homeopathic that

you can get at the healthfood store and even some drug stores now - called

ColdCalm by Borion. It worked so great for me - wiped a cold out in one day.

Hope you feel better soon - and hope your hubby is doing better too.

Pam B.

Actually, that's when the fun starts again. Being hyper, our immune

system is in overdrive. Not that you can't get sick when hyper but it's

less likely. Once you start to respond to ATD's your immune system gets

back to normal and you'll be as susceptible as before.

Take care, Fay
