Hey all -

I tried sending an email to the company that makes Spectrum Spread -

a margarine type thing - but I haven't heard back from them.

Does anybody know it's GFCF status? It seems ok from the label, but

it isn't on the GFCFdiet.com list, which makes me suspicious. It

sounded like a better alternative to your usual margarines since it

had EFAs in it and no transfatty acids...

Let me know - or I will let you all know if I hear back from the

company.

Hi, I use it because someone verified it and it is also sold by one of

the companys (cant remember) as GFCF. All I know about is the Spectrum

Coconut oil in a glass jar and also the Spectrum Shortening in a blue and

white tub. I didn't have any other spectrum products verified.

Spectrum Organic Margarine is also GFCF -- it has nice big letters

right on the website " gluten and casein free " and works much better

at higher heats. The Spectrum Spread sputters like crazy if you melt

it in a skillet. The margarine is also trans fat free.

BUT, you can still use the Spectrum spread on toast, etc.
