Guest guest
My son has problems with bedwetting and frequent urination with Kirkman's Enzyme aid. Has anyone else seen this reaction, and would it be worth a try to switch to another brand? Thanks,
Guest guest
Other parents are seeing bedwetting at first with enzymes then this seems to disappears. If you are using enzymes you may want to join the discussion on " enzymes and autism " . You can join through www.yahoogroups.com . Guest guest
We had the same thing happen with enzyme aid and serenaid - another product with the same purpose. I have read that if you keep at it, that the poops will normalize after a week or so. I am thinking about adding this into our little guy's diet as a regular thing too. I have heard that people notice improvement in behavior. We have been GFCF for over a year now and are doing great, but I am always looking for something to give us another boost. This could also take care of any cross contamination concerns... Guest guest
Enzymes are known to have a " cleaning " out period at the beginning. Also, the body is adjusting to more food being digested, so this is normal in the first few days. Other things you may see are increased thirst, more awareness/hyperness, and increase in apetite or range of acceptable foods. My youngest had very loose stools for the first 2 days after starting Peptizyde, then adjusted. In two weeks, he started eating 1/3 more food per day, and increased his range from 5 foods to 30. The foods not being broken down part may be his body processing foods faster than usual. But if it doesn't clear up in a few days, you might want to look into the situation again. Specific enzymes work on specific foods. Are the foods " not being broked down " targeted on the list of foods EnzymAid is designed to digest? . > > We just started giving our 4 1/2 year old son Kirkman's enzyme aid > with his > > lunch and dinner meals.
