Guest guest
Hello, sorry for the delay in replying to all of your questions, I havent had much of a chance to get onto my computer over the past couple of days as I have to share it with my two brothers, both of whom are 6 ft. Anyway here goes, I am just under 4ft 9 and weight 7 stone, I never received ght. The only medical treatment I received was a monthly visit to a dietician who prescribed a special diet for me to help put on weight. I was also prescribed with a drink called " fortisip " , this was also to help me put on weight. My parents are 5ft2 and 5ft8, They decided for me not to receive ght as the doctors I saw at the time advised against it due to the side effects. I am quite happy that my parents decided that I would not have ght as I am quite happy with my height. in response to what you told me about Coldy, I also received my fair share of teasing at school especially when I started secondary school (age 11), I was only about 3ft 10, tiny compared to the other students in an all boy school but I gave what I got and was never the victim of physical bullying. As far as teasing and name calling goes Colby is right to give back what he receives, I did ,because if I hadnt of stood up for myself people would have taken advantage of me. But it is pointless and impossible trying to argue with everyone that called me names and I learned to ignore it. Coldy will learn himself how to deal with these situations as he gets older, I did. Despite my lack of size I achieved successfuly at both academic studies and physical studies. From the age of fourteen despite being more than a foot smaller than the other students I was captain of the school cricket and hockey team. I also started weightlifting at the age of 16 which has helped me put on weight and get a much bigger physique. I think I stopped growing at about the age of 18. As far as dating is concerned from my experience this is a pretty hard part of being a rss male as it very difficult competing with average height male's for the attention of girls, It is also pretty hard finding someone of a similar height to date as I have found dating girls who are taller than me is very awkward but I am hoping this is something I can get used to as I rarely meet any girls who are smaller than me. If their is any questions that anyone has asked that I have missed out let me know, and dont ever feel like you are being too nosy. Lee. Guest guest
Lee Thanks for your open thoughts and sharing. It's greatly appreciated. My son is 11 1/2 years old with RSS. He has always had such a strong personality and " given what he gets " back. Up until this year. For a variety of reasons he changed schools (I teach at his school). This year the adjustment was especially hard and he got " alot! " But whenever he tried to give it back (and it was all verbal, not anything physical) I would be the parent called in to say he shouldn't be acting this way. I have seen a huge smashing of that flare and style his personality. I feel the school is crushing him.........the idea of making the square peg fit into the round hole! They are really forcing him into the round hole and it tears me apart. I tried on several occasions to make this known to the teacher and principal (as delicately as I could since I work there) but to no avail. Any thoughts?
