Guest guest
Does anyone know the ingredients in playdoh? My son's school sent home a video of his discrete trials and in one they were using playdoh to do " make it bigger " during the whole trial (about 5 minutes) everytime he touched the playdoh, he then immediately licked his hands and continued to do so for a while afterward. What's a good substitute to use for playdoh? Thanks
Guest guest
I think it is interesting that while my son was in withdrawl he asked specifically for play-doh .. Especially since he didn't speak much.. He was in bad shape that day.. trying to get his gluten... . Strange , but true. kelly
Guest guest
I also had an incident with Play doh in the last three weeks. About 3 weeks ago, school let play with Play doh. Initially I didn't think anything about it until later that evening her styes which had been getting better since being GFCF for three weeks immediately got worse. It looked like she was wearing red eye liner and she was starting to develop another styeand the one she had was bigger and redder. Luckily I started to try and wash the eyes and bathe them more than I usually do the next 24 hours the one that tried to develop was gone, and the one that worse was not red but still more puffy. Guest guest
Hello all - Just wanted to chime in regarding Playdoh. We had the worst and longest lasting regression from playing with regular store bought playdoh. My son didn't appear to eat it, although he could have been licking his fingers without my noticing, however, he did press the playdoh into his skin under his neck continually. That night he was tantruming and non-verbal and had red cheeks. SO... we concluded that whatever he got from the playdoh was enough to really make him nuts. Up until that point I wasn't worrying about skin contact issues, but from then on I became much more diligent. I equate it to a nicotine patch - those are for addition too. I like the Lise recipe for " Play Clay " best, as far as a good substitute goes. Just my 2 cents.
