Hi,

I'm so happy you had a great first visit with Dr. H.!!! It was so

nice to meet you and your family at the RSS GAthering (sorry I showed

up so late!). I have to say, Dr. H. deserves a round of applause for

her " investment " (she went to a lot of garage sales!) in that big

basket of toys. It seems to be the winning ice breaker for the

kids. Am very glad that Kedhar was comfortable with her, and am even

happier that you are now getting good treatment options. (my son,

, also had silent reflux. He was on Zantac for several years.

Malathi,

I'm glad you had a good experience with Dr. H. She can be so caring

and engaging! Kedhar is an adorable boy and I'm so happy that he

bonded with Dr. H.

As for the SGA vs. RSS diagnosis, you are correct - the treatment is

the same. It's wonderful that you were able to join us last

Saturday and you have met other kids and parents in your shoes. It

must feel so good knowing that you have this huge family to share

your experiences with and to ask for advice and support.

Your family is lovely. My husband really enjoyed speaking to

yours. I was surprised at how many husbands/fathers that were

there. It's great that they want to be involved. My husband, for

years, would not talk to others about Max and RSS and would never

consider going to the convention. Now, after meeting so many dads

last week, he wants to go in July. Hopefully you will be there,

too, and our husbands can talk again.

Jodi Z.
