Guest guest
Cara - Has his Periactin dose been increased since he has gained so much weight? Periactin is dosed by weight, so it is very important the the dose is monitored carefully and increased with every pound of gain! HA! Also, what you are experiencing is normal. It sounds like he probably got his " catch-up growth " that Dr. H talks about, the growth that was missing because he was calorically deprived. So his gain will slow significantly down. However, you do want to make sure that his P dosage gets upped with this recent weight gain. Talk to your doctor. > hi all, > i thought i would share with you. jacob is doing good. first he is > up to 37 pounds after being put on the periaction from dr.h in > chicago this is a 3 pound up grade. now here one i was not thinking > would happen he also grew a ince and half(wow)this puts him almost > on the charts where he has never ben. he is now starting speech in > school also and we are on our way to seeing if he need a full IEP > there. > but i also have a question he is now starting to not gain like he > was and i am seeing a bit of his old self back not wanting to eat as > well how can i help him now. > i was also wanted to know the way he gained and grew in this what > you all have seen and if so does it just slack off or do they fall > in the charts again? > i know i talk too much but anyway hugs to you all > TIA, > cara mom to jacob
