hi Jodi R,

My other son chewed shirts, too, but not with the intensity of Willie's. He

honestly chews holes in them. We asked the feeding therapist who taught the WHY

ISN'T MY CHILD EATING class at the convention and she thought it probably

signalled reflux. Jodi C, you mentioned it may have to do with ADD/ADHD, too,

right? This last episode I've definitely noticed a decrease in food while the

increase in shirt-chewing is happening. I don't know if it's reflux or that he's

seeking oral stimulation. I try giving him whistles, lollipops, chewy foods

but nothing replaces the shirt. I've considered soaking his shirts in butter or

sewing scaps of food to them. I really think it's reflux. Wish I knew more.

Good luck to you.

Kathy (Jack, 5, non-RSS and Willie , RSS, 3 1/2, Periactin, 23.2 lbs, 33 " )

glad to hear from you!!! my nicholas use to chew on his clothing

really bad and now it is only once in awhile. it seams with him

atleast that he does it when he is nervous and it may possible be

related to his ADD. good luck with finding out why willie does it!!
