Guest guest
I have a very skeptical pediatrician. What can I do to get her to order these tests? I have my 3 YO son on a GFCF diet now, but it may be some time before I see a great deal of results, if I do any at all. We just started gf this week, so time will tell. I'm in Florida. Thanks! Guest guest
If at all possible, see a DAN doctor. If not, visit autism-mercury egroup for info on how to get tested for heavy metal toxicity. For a list of DAN doctors, go to www.autism.com. We've only be able to have 2 visits in 15 months, but it was worth it (and that's an understatement)! > I have a very skeptical pediatrician. Guest guest
The reply to that question at the recent DAN conference would have been " if they are not for, they are against it " . speaking of the diet and biological treatments, that is. Our ped was against everything we did with our twins, even threatened to turn us in to child protective services for malnourishing them over the whole dairy thing. We left that practice, needless to say. We found a DAN doctor in our area that is very reasonable, a psychiatrist, who helped us order all the tests then helped us find a doctor to interpret the results and what needed to be done. He got the ball going for us and worked it into our insurance coverage, for once. donna in kingwood,tx
Guest guest
I would contact Dr. Jeff Bradstreet of Palm Bay, FL. He has done phone conferencing with other physicians explaining these tests. His partner, Dr. Kartzinel, outdoubtedly would, as well. FYI, both of these physicians have family members with autism, so you couldn't contact a more " in tune " doctor than these 2 that specialize in autism research. Their phone number is . Their web site is www.gnd.org. They speak worldwide about their research and personally know Bernard Rimland, Seroussi, the big shots in this area of medicine. Good luck!
