Hi Allegra,

I'm sort of behind here and not sure if anyone answered so I'll jump in.

I have no idea what tests would say liver or alc, except the alkaline

phosphatase heat fractionation differentiates between liver and bone when the

alk

phos is elevated. Ask for copies of your labs, and this may seem clearer.

Since your TSH and FT4 show hyperthyroidism, he probably wants to make sure

you haven't developed nodules as opposed to a recurrence of hyperthyroidism for

GD. The scan also shows if a person is taking thyroid hormone as the cause of

the hyperthryoidism. If Graves' disease is suspected, the blood test for TSI

can confirm this. Best, Elaine

Hi Luci,

Your labs look good using 37.5 mg, but it certainly wouldn't hurt if your

thyroid hormone levels were a bit higher. Much depends on how you feel. Like if

you have any hypo symptoms at all lowering your dose to 25 mg might be a good

idea. But if you're feeling good on your current dose, you might want to leave

things alone. Either way, you're doing great maintaining on such a low dose.

Best, Elaine
