Guest guest
Hi - No, you're not the only person. S did it to me too. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > When S became angry at me she ridiculed several of my posts by re-sending them with snide comments at the bottom and then sent me a filthy personal e-mail. I'm told that the latter can be reported to the ISP, which is what I'll do if it ever happens again. > > I wonder if I'm the only person who's gotten this treatment. I find it very unpleasant, and not funny. I'm happy to engage in any kind of lively debate but don't want to be attacked, on the board or privately. > > Best wishes, > B. Guest guest
Hi Jbabe- No, it's not about our choices. As Graves' patients, we're a bit hotheaded and sometimes get into it. We try to control that aspect of the disease but sometimes we're not too successful. There are all sorts of patients on this list. There are those that have chosen to stay on ATDs, those that have had surgery and those that have had RAI. Some of us that have had RAI have been rushed into it and are a little resentful. We believe that a patient has the right to be fully informed before they make that choice and sometimes people do choose RAI anyways. I would not have chosen it had I been fully informed. The disagreement is about being civil whether or not we feel like it. One of my friends used the term " common decency " and that's about it. You can always phrase things to say what you intend without being combative. Yes, we are adults and can handle things but adults can also control themselves somewhat. Anyhow, don't be shy about posting your symptoms. Take care, dx & RAI 1987 (at age 24) > Hello, > > Pardon me but errrrrrr..... I'm brand new to this group. I only joined in today. > > I am hoping that this discussion is not about what choices people have made regarding Grave's? > > I am a bit nervous exposing my symptoms... would someone enlighten me to what this disagreement is about? > > Thank you. > > Kind regards, jbabe >
Guest guest
i am afraid you both read into something that wasn't there- and it was YOUR respective responsibility to ask a question and not use snide remarks and become defensive- it's the only way a community works. i " did " nothing. so, michelle- good point.
